Meet Capt. Bill Burns |
Fishing has been my passion for the past 50 years. From small ponds with blue gills and crappies to the waters of Mexico and Hawaii, I have enjoyed it all. Hooking up with blue and striped marlin, dorado, wahoo, sailfish and other salt water fish have only served to increase my passion for fishing.
In 1994, I won First Place with my good friend Terry Warp in the Lake Havasu Western Outdoors News Striper Derby. We also broke the 11 year record with the most total weight caught over the 2 day event. |

Then in 2003, Diamond Valley Lake opened and I have been fishing it on a regular basis ever since. Diamond Valley Lake is a large lake created by the Metropolitaan Water District to provide drinking water for the San Diego Area. With this in mind the water is kept clean by prohibiting people in the lake. This makes for a real, nice big and deep fishing lake with holdover trout.
Aside from Diamond Valley Lake, I also regularly enjoy fishing the other fine fishing lakes across southern California. |
